When we say the creed at Mass, do we really think about what it means, that Jesus, the carpenter of Nazareth, was really and truly God “by whom all things were made” in a human body? The mystery of the Incarnation is central to our faith but is also completely mind-boggling. Come and join us on Tuesday, January 7th at 6:30 PM in St. Mary's Parish Center, Rooms 106/107, to look at the questions that people may have surrounding the Incarnation and some of the great statements of this truth in Scripture, poetry and art.
Our speaker for the evening will be Chris Fletcher, who holds a PhD in Theological Ethics and was a Professor of Theology at Benedictine University in Lisle, Il. She and her husband have four children and eight grandchildren, and are Oblates of St. Procopius Abbey. Chris has also authored three books: 24/7 Christian, St. Benedict for Boomers, and The Artist and the Trinity. All are welcome to join us for this informative presentation and discussion.
And the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us, and we saw His glory, the glory as of the Father’s only Son, full of grace and truth. John 1:14
